HA NOI (VNS)— A short play by the Viet Nam Drama Theatre will be presented at the first China-ASEAN Theatre Festival and Forum in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in China.

Entitled Cai Lao Hoan Dong (Rejuvenation), the play is based on a Vietnamese folk tale telling the story of a poor farmer who, with his brain power and sense of humour, plays a hoax on a greedy and evil-doing mandarin and his wife.

At the five-day forum from August 27 to September 1, director of the Viet Nam Drama Theatre Nguyen The Vinh will deliver a speech about Vietnamese drama.

The event will also attract artists from Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, and China.-VNS
