HA NOI (VNS) — China beat South Korea 3-0 yesterday to win the Asian Women's Volleyball Championship in China, while Thailand overcame Chinese Taipei to take third place.

Viet Nam beat Japan 3-1 on the same day to secure fifth place.

It is the second win of the Vietnamese athletes, following their 3-2 victory in the group round last week.

Viet Nam defeated the Asian giants 25-23, 25-17, 21-25, 25-19.

It is the best rank of Viet Nam in the continental level.

Previously they twice ranked sixth in the 2003 and 2013 tournaments. — VNS
