HA NOI (VNS) — Cao Van Chong has been promoted as the general director of the Viet Nam Professional Football Company (VPF), which manages national V.League 1, V.League 2 and the National Cup tournaments.
Chong, 36, is general director of the Binh Duong Sports Joint Stock Company that manages V.League 1 champion Becamex Binh Duong.
Under his reign as the executive director of the club, Becamex Binh Duong won the title in 2014 and 2015.
Former Director Pham Ngoc Vien, 65, stepped down after four years in the hot seat. Chong's promotion is one of the actions being taken to bring in new blood in the company that recently received negative comments about its management. — VNS
