HCM CITY (VNS) — Mai Duc Chung was appointed technology director of the V.League 1's Becamex Binh Duong yesterday to replace Le Thuy Hai until the end of this year.
Chung agreed to leave his position as manager of the Viet Nam Football Federation's teams to move to Binh Duong for a salary of VND100million (US$4,700) per month.
Nguyen Minh Son, chairman of the board of directors at Binh Duong Football Joint Stock Company, said he believed under the guidance of Chung, Binh Duong would successfully defend their title this season.
Chung, who managed Binh Duong in 2010, had his first training session with his players yesterday.
At present, Binh Duong have 25 points after 12 rounds to take the lead out of 14 teams. — VNS
