The HCM City Tourism Association has asked the city's authorities for a site in September 23 Park (in District 1) to build a tourist support centre.
Nguyen Thi Khanh, deputy chairwoman of the association, said the centre would provide information about tours and tourism products, and also assist tourists in need.
It will have a hotline for tourists to call in case of emergency or medical supports.
The centre, to cost VND1.5 billion (US$71,450), will be run by the association and managed by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. — VNS
