HCM CITY (VNS)  — The HCM City will welcome New Year with several cultural activities beginning on December 27.

Two music concerts will be held at the September 23 Park on December 31 and January 1. Traditional boat and bicycle races will be held on the Nhieu Loc - Thi Nghe Canal on December 28 and on Mai Chi Tho Street in District 7 on January 2 respectively.

The city will organise a 15-minute fireworks display along with a visual art performance on New Year's Eve at Bitexco Financial Tower in District 1. The light show will spotlight images of city's famous sites like the HCM City Post Office, Ben Thanh Market, Opera House and Reunification Palace. . — VNS
