A branch of the World Natural and Cultural Heritage Sites in Viet Nam
has been established in Ha Noi in line with greater efforts to preserve
the nation's cultural and natural heritage sites.
HA NOI (VNS)— A branch of the World Natural and Cultural Heritage Sites in Viet Nam has been established in Ha Noi in line with greater efforts to preserve the nation's cultural and natural heritage sites.
The organisation comprises leaders from management boards of seven world heritage sites in Viet Nam which are recognised by UNESCO, including the Hue Complex of Monuments, Ha Long Bay, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Ho Dynasty Citadel, Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park, Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary.
Phan Thanh Hai, the head of the management board of Hue Complex of Monuments was named chairman of the new club made public on Wednesday.
The club will hold two seminars each year to address challenges facing the management and preservation the UNESCO-recognized sites in Viet Nam. — VNS
