Portugal's Francisco Vital has replaced Tran Cong Minh as the head coach of Dong Tam Long An until the end of the 2012 V-League season.

According to managing director Vo Thanh Nhiem, Vital's long term future would be dependent on the team's results.

Coach Vital said he was happy to be back in Viet Nam and was looking forward to the challenge. He added that although a lot had changed in club and Vietnamese football, he believed his experience would be useful.

Vital coached Ngan Hang Dong A in the 2002-03 season, but the team only finished ninth and they parted company. At the beginning of 2009, he was appointed head coach of Becamex Binh Duong, but then fired following a string of bad results. — VNS
