Con Dao: Tormented Beauty off the Coast of Vietnam


In spite of pristine water and beaches, the island was mostly known for its notorious past as a prison, where thousands of political prisoners died during Frech colonial time and the Vietnam War.

Travel writer Dave Fox shared his experience during his memorable journey on Con Dao Island, an island 115 miles off the coast of Viet Nam's southern province of Vung Tau.
