HA NOI (VNS) — As part of Manzi's Old Sounds of New Days concert series, the Encounter III: From the Delta will introduce the folk melodies from the Song Hong (Red River) Delta – home of Vietnamese culture and civilisation.
The music genres include trong quan, co la, vi, quan ho (love duet) folk tunes, together with pieces of traditional chamber music such as ca tru (ceremonial singing), chau van (ritual singing) and xam (busker's singing).
Master artists Xuan Hoach, Thanh Hoai, and Thanh Binh will all perform.
The concert starts at 8pm, October 16, at Manzi Art Space, 14 Phan Huy Ich Street. Charge: VND200,000 (including 1 drink). Due to limited seating capacity (acoustic concert for 30 people only), please email to manzihanoi@gmail.com before October 14 to reserve seats.
