HA NOI (VNS) — Despite the distance which separates the two countries, Azerbaijan and Viet Nam shared several cultural similarities, said most of participants at the conference entitled The Parallels of Azerbaijani and Vietnamese Cultures.
The conference was organised on Friday by the Azerbaijani History and Culture Research Centre in Viet Nam, and the Azerbaijan Embassy.
Participants at the conference said that even though the two countries were not large, they had thousands of years of history, and were very resilient during wars against foreign invaders.
During the event, speeches from leaders, teachers, researchers, and young students were presented, highlighting their co-operation in cinematography.
This country has also helped Viet Nam in the training of theatre directors.
At the conference, well-known Vietnamese translator Hoang Thuy Toan expressed his admiration for Azerbaijani's rich literary tradition and works.
