HA NOI (VNS) — Wayne Robson, the consulate general of Canada in HCM City, has announced the winners of the second "Explore Canada from A to Z" competition.
The first prizes went to Mai Dieu Quynh, a high school student in Ha Noi, and Pham Phuong Thuy Linh from British Columbia, Canada.
The consulate awarded Quynh a three-week study trip to Canada and Linh an internship opportunity in Viet Nam next summer.
The competition, which started in August, attracted nearly 400 Vietnamese students studying in Viet Nam and Canada. The students learned about, explored and experienced Canada, and worked together to produce videos.
"We believe that through this competition, young Vietnamese students have a better understanding of the beauty and diversity of Canada, and have a better appreciation for what Canadian education offers them," Robson said. "We were very impressed with the knowledge, language proficiency, creativity, and dynamic characteristics of the participants." — VNS
