HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam's national futsal team lost to Croatia 3-8 in their third friendly match during a training course in Croatia yesterday.
The two teams played a thrilling match with spectacular attacks. However, the skilful and tall Croatian players took full advantage of visitors' errors to score their goals.
Viet Nam's three goals were scored by Trong Luan, Ngoc Son and Anh Tung.
Earlier, Viet Nam were beaten by world No 16 Croatia 3-6 in the first friendly match, and then defeated world No 14 Slovenia 6-4 in their second friendly match.
It was the first time that the Vietnamese team was taking part in a friendly event with strong European rivals. It was a good opportunity for them to hone their skills and gain experience for the upcoming 2015 ASEAN futsal championships, and the 2016 Asian futsal championships' qualifying round.
The team will return home tomorrow to celebrate Tet. — VNS
