HA NOI (VNS) — An art week has been organised to raise funds for a school building for more than 100 Mong ethnic children in the mountainous Lao Lung Tung village, Ha Giang Province.
The event, which will run till Sunday, is part of Art from the Heart, which is a series of art programmes launched by School 4 Kids Viet Nam, a charity group founded in 2013, to build schools for children in the mountainous region.
The group will join hands with many talented artists to organise activities ranging from live music shows, dance studios, art classes for children and a talk show on education, as well as a DIY workshop later on making leather handicrafts.
The target is to raise US$20,000 for the school. The group has raised 90 per cent of the amount so far. Those who want to participate in the activities and donate to the project, can get more information at xaytruongchoem.com. — VNS
