“We are extremely proud to have retained this world-renowned award for the third consecutive year. We could not have achieved this without the full dedication of our whole resort team, significant support from our mother company Sun Group, and, of course, our valuable guests,” said Juan Losada, the resort’s general manager.
“At the same time, this award reinforces our commitment to stay focused on delivering world-class services in the months and years to come.”
The mountain resort, which situated 600m above sea level in Son Tra peninsula, 10km away from Da Nang city’s centre, was also awarded three other titles: Asia’s Leading Luxury Resort, Viet Nam’s leading resort and Viet Nam’s leading spa resort at the World Travel Awards ceremony in Da Nang in October.
It was honoured as the number one resort in Asia by Conde Nast Traveler, the Best Resort Hotel in the Asia-Pacific by the Business Traveller, and has made it to CNN’s list of the 21 Most Beautiful Beachfront Hotels in the World.

Bensley, won the ‘Best Achievement in Design’ award organised by Virtuoso Hotels & Resort and Virtuoso Life magazine in 2015.
American tourism magazine Conde Nast Traveler also announced the resort as the winner of best resort in Asia for its 2016 Reader’s Choice Awards.
It’s the second time that the Da Nang-based resort has won a prize from the magazine. In 2012, it was named one of the 154 best new hotels in the world.
The resort’s La Maison 1888 also was recognised as one of the world’s 10 best new restaurants by CNN, and one of the 101 best restaurants in Asia by the Daily Meal, a US food website.
The resort will host major events for the upcoming APEC 2017.
The resort hosted a three-day vacation for billionaire financier George Soros in 2012.
Da Nang also was named among the Top 10 Holiday Destinations in Asia by Smart Travel Asia – an online tourism magazine for Asia, and the city won an award for Asia’s Leading Festival and Event at the World Travel Awards ceremony for tourism.
The central city hosted 4.6 million tourists, of which 1.25 million were foreign tourists, in 2015.
According to the city’s tourism department, 1.6 million foreign visitors had visited the city in the first 11 months this year. — VNS
