DA NANG (VNS)— The central city and the Tien Phong (The Vanguard) newspaper will co-host the Miss Viet Nam 2014 pageant, which will be held in Da Nang from August 14 to 28.
A source from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism told Viet Nam News yesterday that the coastal city would be hosting the pageant for the second time, the first one being in 2012.
The final round of the pageant will take place at the 2,000-seater Tuyen Son Sport Centre. The qualifying rounds are being held in the northern and southern provinces and cities.
The winner will walk away with a cash prize of VND300 million, or US$14,000, while the first and second runners-up will get VND150 million, or $7,000, and VND100 million, or $4,700, respectively.
