HCM CITY (VNS)— Flowers, spa services and new clothes are just some of the gifts that are expected to be popular on Vietnamese Woman's Day tomorrow.

A variety of flowers is being offered, including the immortal rose, heart-shaped rose, rainbow-coloured rose and other imported flowers.

Flower prices have increased by 10-40 per cent in recent days due to prolonged rains.

At Ho Thi Ky flower market in District 10, a bunch of roses is selling between VND280,000 and 300,000.

At flower shops in HCM City, one rose sells for VND3,000-4,000, while imported flowers are about VND50,000 a branch.

Many shops are offering free delivery services to customers and gifts.

The Flower Box shop, for instance, offers a voucher worth VND100,000 for sales of more than VND300,000.

Along with flower shops, supermarkets, shops and trade centres have launched programmes to attract buyers on the special occasion.

Big C supermarkets are selling gift boxes with nice designs and attractive discounts, while CoopMart is offering discounts of up to 45 per cent on 300 kinds of garments.

Spas have also launched massage packages and vouchers that buyers can buy for gifts.

Travel companies have also offered 20 per cent discounts on inbound and outbound tours, and banks are carrying out programmes for female customers.

HDBank, for example, has prepared thousands of attractive gifts for women who make transactions at the bank from Wednesday to tomorrow. — VNS
