HÀ NỘI — People are welcomed to watch and record artist Lương Văn Việt making his new artwork at Manzi Art Space from 10am to 4pm until January 2. 

The space turns into a working studio where the artist will complete his large-scale sculpture and handle the installation directly.

Born in 1977, Việt graduated from the Việt Nam University of Art in 2002. Using minimal shapes and colours to create a sophisticated and elegant contrast, Việt’s works explore and push boundaries between spaces and forms, revealing the philosophy of coexistence and human existentialism.

He has held nine solo exhibitions including Sense at the space in 2016. He also took part intensively in different group sculpture exhibitions in Việt Nam and abroad.

The installation-sculpture artwork, whether completed or unfinished, is open to the public and invites interactions. 

The work will be displayed at Manzi Art Space from January 5 to 19. — OVN
