HA NOI (VNS) — A spring festival featuring varied traditional customs of three ethnic groups in northern Viet Nam is being held at the Viet Nam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.
Starting today (February 27), the festival will conclude on March 1.
The event has been jointly organised by the village's managing board and local authorities of the northern province of Lai Chau and Ha Noi City's Ba Vi District, where the ethnic groups of Thai, Muong and Dao reside.
The groups will showcase folk games, singing, cuisine, dancing and indulge in dating activities during the festival.
A fair exhibiting handicrafts from the neighbouring villages will also be staged at the site.
The village had earlier hosted the annual "Spring Colours in All Regions of the Country" event between February 7 and 11, which drew thousands of representatives from various ethnic groups, as well as Vietnamese living abroad and students from Ha Noi. — VNS
