Old Quarter gets into the spirit
The Ha Noi Old Quarter will host many activities to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival from now to the end of this month.
Folk games, children's paintings and traditional toys such as five-star lanterns and to he (toy figurines) will be shown at Dong Lac Temple, 38 Hang Dao Street.
Kim Ngan Temple at 42 Hang Bac Street will also host activities with performances of ca tru (ceremonial singing) in the evenings.
The Old Quarter Information Centre at 28 Hang Buom Street will show how puppets are made and feature demonstrations by artisans from Te Tieu Village, My Duc District, Ha Noi.
The UNESCO recognised Heritage House at 87 Ma May Street will display paintings created from torn papers by a group of young painters. — VNS
