QUANG NINH (VNS)-- Around 300 guests - half of whom are representing European travel and news agencies - will take part in a special event exploring local tourism in Ha Long City between November 27 and 30.

The participants will experience various tourism products including an overnight boat cruise, a city tour, a visit to a traditional art show, meetings with local tourism companies, and the chance to contribute to a workshop on local tourism potential, said the deputy chair woman of the Quang Ninh People's Committee, Ninh Vu Thi Thu Thuy.

"The event has been organised to introduce European tourists to Ha Long Bay - one of the world's new seven wonders," she said. "This is also a chance for the local tourism sector to get approach European partners and attract investment from the European market."

Local tourism management and travel companies will also share their experiences with their European counterparts, she added.

The event has been organised by local authorities in collaboration with Vietnam Airlines and other sponsors in and outside the province. - VNS
