HA NOI (VNS)— Fifty-one lacquer paintings created by three generations of students and lecturers of the Ha Noi Fine Arts College are on display at the Viet Nam Fine Arts Museum on Nguyen Thai Hoc until next Tuesday.

The show aims to popularise Vietnamese traditional lacquer art among both Vietnamese and foreign art lovers.

Most of the works were created by painter and lecturer Pham Chinh Trung and his students in 2012 and 2013.

On this occasion, they also chose to display three works of the late painter Nguyen Kim Dong (1922-2009) including Duoc Mua (Bumper Crop) to pay homage to the teacher who was among the first students of the Indochina Fine Arts College and devoted his whole life to lacquer art.-VNS
