HA NOI (VNS) — Photographer Nguyen Ba Han will display his photos, showing everyday life of the Vietnamese people, at an exhibition in Japan.

Entitled Vietnamese Moments, his collection of 20 photos depicts Viet Nam as a country of diligent and energetic people. These photos also portray beautiful scenes from everyday life.

Han will display the entries within the framework of the International East Asian Photo Culture Forum, following an invitation from the Japan Professional Photographers Society.

The forum, which will end on September 26 in Hokkaido, will also see the participation of photographers from regional countries including China, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Thailand and Japan.

"Through my photos, I express my love to the country," Han said at the opening ceremony of the exhibition. "I hope that you will enjoy them and feel interested in discovering the country and the people.

"You will understand that the Vietnamese people are friendly and hospitable, love peace and always have an open mind with international friends."

Han was born in 1975 in the central city of Hue. He has had a special interest in Vietnamese youth ever since he befriended disabled youngsters, and has taken many photos and released two photo books on the subject.

Han has exhibited his works in Japan, France, Italy, Iran and the United States. He has also received many notable awards, including the A.FIAP (Artist of the International Federation of Photographic Art) award. — VNS
