HCM CITY (VNS) — Young amateur filmmakers have been encouraged to participate in the second HCM City Film Festival for Students this week.
The event's theme, Nhung Cau Chuyen Dep (Good Stories), aims to highlight stories related to youth and their dreams and hopes.
Organised by the HCM City Viet Nam Students Association, in co-operation with its partners, the festival will give students at universities and colleges an opportunity to explore their creativity.
Contestants will compete in four categories: short film (30 minutes or less), short documentary film or video (eight minutes or less), and trailer (one minute or less).
The prize money is worth a total of VND200 million (US$9,000).
The films will be screened every morning, from December 11-15 at the Galaxy Nguyen Du Cinema in HCM City. — VNS
