HA NOI (VNS) — Five artists from all over the country were yesterday granted the Viet Nam Fine Arts Association's award for 2015.
Le Thi Kim Bach from HCM City received the award with a set of three silk paintings entitled To Quoc Goi (The Nation's Call).
Four other winners included Nguyen Van Huy, Nong Tien Dung, Tran Tuan Long and Le Thi Thanh.
The association selected those works thousands of paintings, graphics and sculpture which had been exhibited nationwide since January, according to the association's chairman Tran Khanh Chuong.
He also said that this year's entries were of higher quality than those in previous years.
Every year, the association grants the awards for excellent artworks to encourage artists' creation. It's considered the most prestigious award among domestic artists. — VNS
