HA NOI – Dominante, a university choir from Finland, will perform for one night only at the Tuoi Tre Theatre (Youth Theatre) on the 6th of March.
As part of their Asian tour, the capital performance has been organised by the Vietnam Performing Arts Centre and the Embassy of Finland.
Founded in 1975 and conducted by choirmaster Seppo Murto since 1981, Dominante has grown into one of Finland's most respected musical groups, well known for their rich variety of traditional and modern music.
The choir recently worked with an array of renowned choral groups and orchestras including Finland's national Opera, the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Helsinki Philharmonic, and the Lahti Symphony Orchestra, amongst others.
Recent tours include South Korea, Hong Kong and Macau in November 2009 and Denmark in 2011.
Over the years, the choir has appeared on more than twenty recordings and albums.
