Pham Van Tuan, deputy head of the Administration of Sports and Physical Exercise, has become the fourth vice president of VFF's sixth term that will end next year.
The Viet Nam Professional Football (VPF) Joint Stock Company also became a member of the VFF on Sunday.
VPF was established last year to manage the country's two leading football competitions, the top flight championship, V-League and the second-tier First Division.
The congress discussed the reasons as well as possible solutions for financial difficulties faced by football clubs, as well as other steps that can promote sustainable development of the game in Viet Nam.
Preparations for the new V-League season as well as the national teams' readiness for various competitions were also discussed. — VNS
