HA NOI - Thirty-three artists from France's Champs-Elysees Orchestra will perform in Ha Noi on June 15 as part of activities to celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations between France and Viet Nam.

They will perform masterpieces from well-known composers under the baton of conductor Philippe Herreweghe and several guest conductors, including Daniel Harding, Christian Zacharias, Louis Langree, Christophe Coin, and Rene Jacobs.

Founded in 1991, the orchestra specialises in the performance of music from 1750 to the early twentieth century. During its tours, it offers public rehearsals, conferences and workshops with classes for schoolchildren.

The orchestra has performed in most of the world's major concert halls.

Tickets ranging in price from VND350,000 (US16) to VND800,000 ($38) are available at Hanoi Opera House, 1 Trang Tien St. The concert starts at 8pm.--VNS
