PARIS (VNS) — Result of 15 trips to Viet Nam by French photographer Gerard Memmi were showcased in a photo exhibition last weekend at the municipal administration precinct of Choisy Le Roi, 20km from Paris.
Each time Memmi comes to Viet Nam, he finds new features of the country and people and new inspiration, he said.
He displayed 20 colour photos of 6,000 in his collection, mostly of landscapes, life and ethnic people.
"I love Viet Nam, it's full of vitality," Memmi said. "I was attracted by the hospitality, openness and loveliness of the people.
"I intend to open a bigger exhibition at the Vietnamese Cultural Centre in France next year to celebrate 40 years since the signing of the Paris Peace Accord to stop the war in Viet Nam."
Mayor of Choisy Le Roi Daniel Davisse said, "Choisy Le Roi is a good venue for the exhibition because it hosted the Vietnamese delegation who came to sign the Accord and has been a twin city of the Dong Da District of Ha Noi."-VNS
