HA NOI - Talented French pianist Marie Vermeulin will perform in HCM City and Ha Noi next week.

She will play famous works by Claude Debussy, including Pour le piano (For the Piano), Estampes (Prints) and Prelude, and Olivier Messiaen's Ile de Feu I&II (Islands of Fire I&II).

In May 2006, Vermeulin won second prize at the International Maria Canals Competition in Barcelona, and she also came second at the Olivier Messiaen International Competition in Paris in December 2007.

The 29 year old artist will perform next Monday at the HCM City Conservatory, 112 Nguyen Du Street, and at l'Espace French Institute, Ha Noi, 24 Trang Tien Street, next Thursday at 8pm. VNS
