HA NOI (VNS) — The Vietnamese women's futsal team Thai Son Nam won the AFF Futsal Club Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia, yesterday.
With two wins and one draw, Thai Son Nam had seven points and walked away with a prize of US$4,000.
The team tied with UNJ Jakarta of Indonesia 2-2 in the final match, but it had earlier defeated UPI Bandung of Indonesia and Felda of Malaysia.
UNJ Jakarta and UPI Bandung were placed second and third respectively.
The Vietnamese men's team Hai Phuong Nam finished third in their category. The club had taken part in an international event for the first time. They received a prize of $1,500.
IPC FC of Indonesia and Felda of Malaysia finished first and second in the men's category respectively.
Four men's and women's teams participated in the three-day event. — VNS
