HA NOI (VNS) — The Viet Nam national team's goalkeeper, No 1 Tran Nguyen Manh, did not leave for Thailand with his team this morning (May 21) because of an injury.
Head coach Toshiya Miura called SHB Da Nang's Le Van Hung to replace Manh.
Earlier, Miura, the 50-year-old coach, planned to include 24 players, including Manh, in the Group F's opening match against Thailand in the 2018 FIFA World Cup's qualifying round on May 24.
As scheduled, the team will have two days of training in Thailand before facing Thailand.
Viet Nam will then take on Indonesia in their second clash, scheduled for September 3 on home territory. — VNS
