HA NOI— (VNS) National goalkeeper Duong Hong Son yesterday was sent to hospital due to sudden hearing loss.

Team doctor Tran Anh Tuan said there were different reasons causing his deafness. "We are waiting for the final decision of the hospital doctors so we don't know when he will be okay. However he will need at least 10 days for treatment so he might not join Viet Nam at the Qatar's training course starting next week," Tuan said.

Son was training with the national team in Ha Noi in preparation for the third round match of the 2015 Asian Cup against Uzbekistan.

Apart from Son the national team have two other goalies Nguyen Thanh Binh and Tran Buu Ngoc. — VNS
