Nearly 40 athletes from Ha Noi, HCM City, Hai Phong and the Military are participating at the National Gymnastics Championships at Quan Ngua Sports Complex in Ha Noi.

They are competing for 14 medal sets in events such as the parallel bars and horizontal bar for men, and the balance beam and floor for women.

The tournament has attracted the participation of top athletes including 26th Southeast Asian Games gold medallist Pham Phuoc Hung, and Phan Thi Ha Thanh who won a bronze medal at the 2011 World Artistic Gymnastics Competition in Tokyo to qualify for the London Olympics.
