underway as the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival season enters its final
stretch.
HA NOI (VNS) - The annual gathering of Calligraphy artists and Confucian scholars on the street adjoining the Temple of Literature is underway as the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival season enters its final stretch.
The scholars offer calligraphy works in both Chinese and Vietnamese characters for people to buy and adorn their homes or as gifts, invoking prosperity and happiness for the upcoming Year of the Snake.
Special classes in the art of calligraphy are also offered, and even children can participate in them.
The street will remain busy till the middle of the first lunar month (February 24). - VNS
