HA NOI (VNS) — A concert featuring songs by famous Vietnamese composer Duong Thu is scheduled to take place at the Ha Noi Opera House on December 13.
Entitled Bai Hat Ru Mua Dong (Winter Lullaby), the show will feature 20 popular songs about memories of winter.
Well-known singers and artists such as My Linh, Bang Kieu and Nguyen Thao, and newcomers such as Khanh Linh, Nhat Thuy, Ha Linh and Tran Nguyen Minh Duc will perform at the concert.
The show is part of the series initiated by Duong Thu, entitled Music Window. Two concerts – entitled My Narratives and I Dreamed a Dream – were held as part of the series in the previous years.
This concert would focus more on art, Thu told Ha Noi Moi (New Ha Noi) online newspaper.
The audience would not see any "imposing" light and sound effects, but would be inspired by a profound light and music show, he said.
Thu, Pho Duc Phuong, Nguyen Cuong and Tran Tien are regarded as four songwriters who have made the greatest contribution to Vietnamese popular music in the last 25 years. — VNS
