HCM CITY — Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh, a journalist at Ha Noi Television, won the HCM City Television (HTV)'s annual national contest for women TV personalities.

The 24-yeat-old beat 12 other contestants in the competition at the finale held at the HTV Theatre on Sunday.

Hai Phong Television hostess Nguyen Thi Thien Trang won the second prize, while Ho Pham Thanh Giang, editor of the HTV, took the third.

During the five-day Miss Charming Television contest, contestants were judged on their appearance, performance, emceeing skills, presentation styles and talents.

The contestants were reporters, editors and show hostesses at television stations in Ha Noi and HCM City as well as the provinces of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Hau Giang, Kien Giang, Can Tho, Binh Phuoc, Kon Tum, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Bac Ninh and Quang Ninh and Hai Phong City. — VNS
