HA NOI (VNS) — V-League club Ha Noi T&T have received two awards in June, the Viet Nam Professsional Football Joint Stock Company has announced.

They won the best team of the month award and Phan Thanh Hung was the best coach of the month.

T&T will have a tough match against Song Lam Nghe An in a late eighth-round match today on home turf at Hang Day Stadium.

T&T will welcome the return of their main striker Hoang Vu Samson after the hitman, who is now a naturalised Vietnamese citizen, sees out a four-match ban.

Nigerian-born Samson has scored 18 goals for the club and his return is a timely boost for the defending champions, which have lost five points in the last four matches.

Regardless of Samson's comeback, it will not be an easy game for the hosts given that high-flying Song Lam Nghe An are hitting their top form, winning all four recent matches to rise to fifth place.

Their star striker Le Cong Vinh has found his form as well, scoring one goal in every one of those games. — VNS
