HA NOI  (VNS) — The six-day National Fencing Championships wrapped up in the capital yesterday with Ha Noi finishing top of the medals table.

The team took six gold, four silver and seven bronze medals, followed by HCM City and Hai Phong.

According to Phung Le Quang, head of the fencing section at the National Sports Administration, young fencers who took part in the event such as Bui Thi Ha, Pham Quoc Tai and Pham Thi Thu Hong who will be key players for the national team.

More than 100 players took part in the event, vying for 12 sets of medals in the women's and men's individual and team categories. — VNS
