HA NOI (VNS) – Vu Thi Hang took silver at the Asian Wrestling Championships which wrapped up in India yesterday (Apr 22).
Hang defeated strong rivals in the qualifying rounds but lost to Park Yong-mi of North Korea in the final of the women's freestyle 48kg event.
At a world youth event in Thailand last year, Hang also claimed a silver medal.
Silver medallist at the 16th Asian Games Nguyen Thi Lua and male wrestler Ta Hong Tuan were stopped in the quarter-finals. – VNS
