(VNS) More than 300 athletes take part in the Hanoimoi Newspaper Table Tennis Open which began yesterday at the Ha Noi's Trinh Hoai Duc Gymnasium.

Players will compete in the men's and women's singles and doubles events for a bonus of VND110 million (US$5,200).

Following the success of the first tournament, organisers opted to open a category for professional athletes in the national team.

Final matches will be aired live on Ha Noi Television on September 22. — VNS
