HA NOI (VNS) — Tran Thi Tam Hao and team-mate Si Boi Ngoc will vie for a gold medal in an all-HCM City final of the National Women's Tennis Championships.

Hao yesterday defeated Nguyen Thi Be Xuyen of Kien Giang 6-0, 6-3 in a semi-final round of the over-18 category.

Earlier Ngoc won 6-2, 6-4 from Phan Thanh Binh of Da Nang in another match.

In the U18 pool, Nguyen Thi Anh Nguyet of Hai Duong will face Le Thi Truc Linh from Tay Ninh in the semi-final match. Another Hai Duong representative, Hoang Thi Ha, will meet Pham Thuy Thuong of Vinh Phuc in the second semis.

In the U14 pool, Hanoian Nguyen Thi Phuong will vie for a final match berth against Le Phuong Thao of Vinh Phuc. HCM City's Tran Thi Thanh Truc is to serve against Hoang Linh Chi from Ninh Thuan. — VNS
