HAU GIANG (VNS) — The southern province of Hau Giang will organise its sixth Cultural, Sports and Tourism festival on November 27.
The two-day event will feature a street show of various traditional martial arts and dances performed by 1,000 professionals from 10 neighbouring provinces. The highlights will include songs and dances of the Khmer ethnic group who make up nearly 1.3 million people in the Mekong Delta.
Organised by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and its partners, this year's festival will also feature folk games, art performances, and sporting contests.
The organisers have worked with authorities in neighbouring provinces to offer a range of tours to visitors coming to the festival.
They hope the annual festival will come to epitomise traditional values, reflect the local spirit, and celebrate life. — VNS
