HA NOI (VNS) — New Zealand's spectacular sights, whale watching, Maori cultural heritage and extreme activity tours were highlighted at tourism seminars in HCM City and Ha Noi as part of a Vietnamese effort to promote tourism to the country.
The seminars held on Tuesday brought together nearly 100 representatives from Vietnamese and New Zealand tourism providers, travel agents, hotels and other industry stakeholders. The events provide industry information and opportunities to expand tourism links between the countries.
"Thirty-three thousand New Zealanders visited Viet Nam in 2014. We're very keen to see similar numbers of our Vietnamese friends visiting New Zealand," said New Zealand Ambassador Haike Manning. — VNS
