(VNS) HCM City took the honours with four golds, three silvers and five bronzes at the National Taekwondo Championships which ended in Binh Thuan on Tuesday after eight days of competition.

Second place went to Ha Noi with four golds, two silvers and three bronzes, while Thanh Hoa were third with two golds, one silver and three bronzes.

The eight-day tournament, which ran from September 10-17, attracted nearly 400 athletes from 32 regions across the country in individual and team events.

The top athletes will be selected for the national team to participate at the SEA Games later this year and the National Sports Festival in 2014. . — VNS
