HA NOI (VNS) — HCM City are leading the competition at the ongoing National Vovinam (Traditional Vietnamese martial arts) Championships in the central Thanh Hoa Province.
The team have won 12 gold, one silver and two bronze medals. Can Tho are placed second with five gold and two silver medals and a bronze medal. The hosts Thanh Hoa are placed third with four gold, two silver and three bronze medals.
The event, in which 350 martial arts fighters from 28 teams nationwide are participating, will end on October 8. It is being jointly organised by the Viet Nam Vovinam Federation, the National Sports Administration and the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The fighters are competing for 44 sets of medals in combat and performance events. — VNS
