HA NOI (VNS)– The Hennessy Artistry Concert will open tomorrow night at Nguyen Du Gymnasium, HCM City.
Sponsored by the Hennessy liquor company, the show will feature performances by international artists including Adam Lambert, a runner-up on American Idol in 2009, South Korean electronic rock singer Yoon-G and Portuguese soul singer Reage Aurea, who will sing her hit singles Okay Alright, Love Me Tender and Busy For Me.
Okay Alright came out in 2008. Two years later, the singer released her debut album, Aurea, featuring Busy For Me, which became her first number one single. Topping the Portuguese iTunes charts, the song firmly established Aurea as a soul icon and is widely considered her signature song.
The Hennessy Artistry concerts have attracted thousands of people since 2008. The invitation-only concert will kick off at 8pm.
This is the fifth time the event has been co-organised by the Department of Performing Arts under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Moet Hennessy Asia Pacific Company.– VNS
