HA NOI (VNS)– Almost a week after the closing of the Quang Nam Heritage Festival, Dr Tran Minh Ca, the head of the festival's organising committee, died early yesterday morning in his home in Tam Ky City, Quang Nam Province. He was 56.

Dr Nguyen Van Hai, director of the provincial Health Department, said Ca died from heart failure.

The day before his death, Ca attended the provincial People's Council meeting and chaired a meeting to review the organisation of the heritage festival held in June.

At the People's Council session, the hard working medic received a high confidence vote (76.79 per cent) under the new rating of officials.- VNS
