HA NOI (VNS) — Tran Thi Yen Hoa won a silver medal in the women's 100m hurdles at the Thai Open Track and Field Championships that ended on September 9.
Hoa finished second with a time of 13.72sec.
Other Vietnamese athletes failed on the last day of competition. Nguyen Van Cong managed to rank only seventh in the men's triple jump, while Le Hoai Phuong came fifth in the women's 800m with a time of 1:57.57.
Viet Nam had sent eight athletes to the event and won three gold, two silver and three bronze medals.
After this event, the athletes will compete in the National Athletics Championships to be held in HCM City's Thong Nhat Stadium next month. — VNS
