HA NOI (VNS)-- National swimmer Hoang Quy Phuoc continued his winning streak at the National Short-course Swimming Championships in Hue City.

The Da Nang based teenager grabbed his second gold in the men's 50m freestyle event in a time of 23.03sec, setting a new national record.

His success came on a day where three other records were beaten. In the men's 400m medley event HCM City's Tran Duy Khoi swam a time of 4:24.3, in the men's team 4x800m freestyle Da Nang finished after 7:41.89, and in the women's 800m freestyle Le Thi My Thao from Binh Phuoc set a new record time of 9:02.36.

Da Nang currently lead the table with seven golds, nine silvers and four bronzes. HCM City are closed behind with six golds and one silver medal. -- VNS
